Lugum
High in the mountains of Nepal lies Lugum, a remote village known for its traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage. Once a year, shamans from across the district gather here for ancestral ceremonies, keeping ancient practices alive.
Library project
In 2023, a group of friends began a meaningful journey: setting up a library for Bhumi Adarbhut Primary School. Art, books, and instruments filled the shelves. A lasting bond with the village began.
A special shout-out goes to Julika Holthuis and Arun Lama, who initiated this project and carried it forward with so much dedication, care, and love. Their commitment made this library possible.
Coats
Since 2024, Nepalu has proudly joined the mission!
The team returned twice that year. First, with more books and a group of musicians to film a music video in collaboration with the local villagers. Then again in winter, with warm coats and school supplies for the school's 115 students, who range in age from 4 to 15. As the school grows, so does the need for continued support.
